How do foodies make healthy choices in the kitchen?

This course is for food and nutrition enthusiasts interested in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary for managing their nutritional needs. Students will understand the principles of nutrition and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle based on current dietary research and guidelines. The aim of this course is for students to realize that food choices can affect health outcomes, and that they will feel encouraged and prepared to make good food choices. Food Labs will enhance all coursework. Students will create tasty foods to meet their nutritional needs while applying food safety and sanitation techniques at all times.
